A:
That's a very good start! My suggestions would be:
- For meals 1-3 you need some good healthy fats in there. Almond butter (or even natural peanut butter) goes well with cottage cheese. Just be very careful with portion sizes for it -- probably about 1 teaspoon's worth in each of meals #1, 2, 3 (which is very little). Also watch the portion sizes with all-bran, it's fairly calorie-dense itself!
- Meal #4 is fine, but flax seed is not a replacement for salmon as far as overall nutrition (only for the omega-3 fats). Chicken + flax would be a good salmon replacement however.
- Meals #5 and 6 need some green veggies in addition to or in place of rice. And they need A LOT of them! Broccoli, green beans, spinach, cauliflower, peppers, onions, squash, cucumbers, tomatoes, etc. My recommendation would be to cut the rice completely from meals 5 and 6 and add tons of green veggies (steamed or raw preferably) instead. Especially in meal 6, you don't want rice, but veggies instead.
That would be a very good fat-burning diet. As always you'll need to watch portion sizes to make sure you're not eating too much or too little, but the meals and the food choices themselves are very very good.
229. Q:
how much flax seed do you recommend using?
A:
Shoot for 5-10 grams of Omega-3 fat daily. You get about 5 grams of Omega-3 in two tablespoons of ground flax seed OR in one 8-ounce serving of salmon.
230. Q:
exersize for flabby under arms
A:
The extra flab is plain old fat and possibly some loose skin (if you had a large weight loss already). Unfortunately you can't spot reduce, meaning you can't target fat loss in just one area such as back of your arms. You also can't do a whole lot for loose skin short of surgery. Applying vitamin E creams may help slightly.
The main thing you'll have to do to reduce the flab is simply lose fat overall. If you lose fat overall, you'll lose it on the back of your arms too. Please read this carefully and read the other two articles it references. It will tell you exactly how to go about losing fat in the most efficient way. Even though it may not be the fast-acting magic bullet against backarm flab that you were hoping for, it IS the best way to go about it. It will also benefit you in the long run in countless other ways.
There's also a chance that building up tricep muscles will mask the flabbiness a little bit and weight training will help with that. By following the programs described in the articles I pointed you to, you'll accomplish that as well. Good luck!
