2705. Q:
how many grams of fat are there in a cubic centimetre
A:
See Q&A #2697 -- one cubic centimeter of fat weighs about 0.90 grams.
2707. Q:
What is a walking lunge?
A:
Walking lunges are an excellent lower body exercise in which you take long exaggerated steps forward during which you bend your leading knee full 90 degress or slightly more, while holding weights by your side. It's the same as In-place lunges but instead of returning to your starting position after each lunge you continue lunging forward. Make sure to keep your back straight during the exercise and avoid shrugging the weights up.
2708. Q:
I was once told that if you work out during the day, and drink alcohol later that night, the alcohol will actually further break down the worked muscles, making the muscle smaller. I know that alcohol is bad for muscle recovery, but does it actually shrink muscles, or does it just give you smaller gains than you would have gotten if you hadn't drank?
A:
Alcohol does not do physical damage to your muscles but it does hinder recovery. An occasional drink or two is perfectly OK but if you drink daily or in large quantities then you are definitely sabotaging your muscle gains (not to mention gaining new fat and damaging your health).
