So I'm new to lifting, and about a month and a half ago (two now?) I went out and got some equipment and slowly put together a routine of sorts.  Form was miserable for the first week or so, but I ate the pride keeping me from pulling the weights down to something more manageable (though entirely less than impressive--not that 20 pound curls were really ever impressive) and got it under control. 

 Also I was SORE like I haven't been before.  And it turned out I liked it, it was like a constant reminder that I was finally putting the "well I'll eventually" into the here and now.

 Found this site, and really enjoyed the open and honest advice, put together routines, and really the fact that there was all this great information that I could just sift through.

 Broke down and stopped pretending I was doing everything I could to put myself into shape--and I'm acquiring professional help in building a diet and a routine. 

After a stupid injury which was entirely avoidable, I've had to take the last week and probably another off.  It's killing me to be forced to rest, but while I'm waiting for a proper diet and routine to come together--It feels good to be on track for the first time.

So there you have it.  I'm ready to finish this week of rest off, and start up fresh with a great diet and routine from Mike.
