Q: im 13 and i fit into size 14 clothes am i over weight?
A: Most likely, yes. The best way of telling if you're overweight is by looking at your height and weight. For example, if your 5 foot, then anything over 128 pounds is considered overweight. If you're 5 foot 4 inches, then anything over 145 pounds is overweight. If you're 5 foot 8 inches, then anything over 164 pounds is overweight.
If you are overweight, the single best thing to do at your age is make sure you eat a TON of veggies (and not potatoes or corn -- I'm talking stuff like broccoli, spinach, lettuce, green beans, etc.), preferably raw as much as possible. Make sure as many of your meals as possible have a lot of veggies in them. The other thing to do is to be physically active in any way possible. Even just walking. At your age it's not too difficult to overcome obesity but the longer you wait the harder it'll become. Good luck!
