Changing Meals Around On Fat Burning Diet
Q: Hey Mike, im on your fat burning diet, what do you think of changing the meals around.. like breakfast(meal 1) then my chicken and brownrice like an hour later, cause eating 4 meals before going to the gym will be to long, and il ike to try to get my workouts in relatively early in the day
A: Absolutely! My sample diets are meant to be templates which you can customize to your own needs. In your case you're going to the gym earlier in the day, so you need to move the pre-workout meal (which is relatively carb-heavy to give you energy to lift weights) to, well, pre-workout time
If you only have one hour between breakfast and this other meal, I would suggest to actually have a bigger breakfast (double the oats and add a few more strawberries into it), then have your workout, and then immediately have the salmon/brown rice except cut the brown rice portion in half or so (to balance out the bigger breakfast). This way you you'll save even more time and you won't have two big meals within one hour (which is probably too much food too fast, even in the morning and before a workout).
