Left Side Of The Body Bigger Than Right Side
Q: Mike, is it normal that my left side (pec, bicep, calf) is bigger than my right side. Why does this happen? Can it be corrected?
A: Yes, that's fairly common. I honestly have not heard a good explanation of why this happens because I've seen people with their dominant side (i.e. the right side for right-handed people) bigger than the other side and I've seen people with the dominant side smaller than the other side. It happens in both trained and untrained people. You can help it to some degree by using more dumbbell exercises and doing the same weight and reps for both sides. Similarly for calves, do one leg at a time. I wouldn't expect the difference to ever disappear completely though.
