I continue to gain muscle and now i look buff. what can i do to drop the 10 pounds.

Crunching Sound From Knee When I Do Squats

Q: WHY DO I HEAR A CRUNCHING SOUND FROM MY KNEE WHEN I DO SQUATS

A: In many cases it may be harmless but I cannot tell you for sure -- you need to talk to a doctor or physical therapist about it. If the sound is accompanied by any kind of pain or discomfort in the knee, then you definitely need to consult a medical professional about it.

Lift Weights First, Then Do Aerobic Dancing

Q: Dear Mike, I know that before lifting weights it's necessary to warm up but I'd like to know whether it is effective if I lift weights first and then do aerobic dancing?

A: That should be fine. In general I prefer to do weight training before cardio, but it is not a big deal either way. So do them in whichever order is more convenient or feels better.

Exercise To Make Shoulders Wider

Q: what exercise to make my shoulders wider

A: You cannot do anything to increase the shoulder width at the bone level, but you can develop your shoulders to some extent to create the impression of wider shoulders. It comes down to two things: good upper body development -- shoulders obviously, but also wide upper back and thick traps -- and narrow waistline. Slim waist will give the impression of wide shoulders.

Want To Lose 25 Lbs But Scale Hasn't Moved

Q: Hey Mike. I love your site. I am a new mom who lost just about all my baby weight within the first 10 weeks of my sons life. I know want to lose an additional 25 lbs. I workout an average of 4 days/week, (30 combo of cardio and weights) and am on a 1500-1700 calorie diet. I also breastfeed. With all this, I seem not to be losing much weight. The scale hasn't moved for me in the last 3 weeks. What else can I/do I need to do? Please help.

Not Eating Enough Make You More Prone To Injury

Q: Hi mike, I am a 5 foot 4.5 inch girl. i am 15 years old and weigh 112 pounds. i run on my schools cross country and track teams, though the past two months i have been out due to injury. first i had a torn calf muscle, and then almost immediately after i recovered from that, i raced once, and ever since have not been able to do the teams workouts due to a strained IT band (in the same leg). my legs seem to be achey all the time, and i am wondering if it is possible that i'm not eating enough, which would cause my body to "eat" muscle and therefore make me more prone to injury..?

Put On 11 Lbs In A Month

Q: Hi Mike my name is Monique. I have lost 2 stone and reached my goal weight of 9st but recently i started Kickboxing and was doing this twice a week with no other cardio. I was doing this for a month before a stopped. When i weighed myself i had put on 11lbs. I know this is probably muscle as its a lot to put on in a month, i know muscle weighs more than fat but it is supposed to be leaner but my clothes are tighter on me which has now got me confused as to wether it is muscle or fat. Either way i want to lose it and get back to the weight i worked so hard to be.
