Best Way To Keep Track Of Calorie Intake

Q: Mike, I just submitted a question signed by Slim. I forgot to add that althought I try to follow your meal plans daily. What is the best way to keep track of calorie intake. I hear and read different ways but its all to confusing. I need a simple technique that when I am going to a buffet to pick my salads, meats, grains etc. I am getting exactly what you suggested. Is hter a way for me to judge that I am getting a cup or 1/2 ounce etc. Thanks again, Slim

Q: Hi Mike, I am 30 years old, about 5'5 and 125-130 punds. I have been conistent with me weight all my life even after I had my two children. Over the last three years I've completely changed the way I eat. Everythign that you suggest for your meal plans are the foods I consume except the red meat. However, I have always had high metabolism and have always been able to put food away with the best of them. I want to gain about 10-15 pounds. I've tried to do your calorie intake of 2090. In addition to it being to much for me to eat DAILY. I haven't seen any results.

1500 Calories, Walk, Circuit Program

Q: I am a 43 year old male, with a good metabolism. Currently I'm at 175 lbs, and 5'9". I have been off any weight training for over 16 month now, and have defintely not eaten as healthy. Subsequently I have put on fat primarily on my stomach, and waist. My primary goal is lose the little ponch while gaining back some muscle (and could do with more size). I thought I should follow your meal plan at 1500 calories to start., walk briskly in the mornings, and lift using a circuit program.
