Legs Getting Flabby Again

Q: Hello Mike! I am a 5'3", 38 y/o female. During puberty I got up to 185 pounds even though I was very active and ate properly. When I turned 19 the weight started dropping off with no change in diet or exercise. I worked out in the gym with weights and cardio faithfully. My body was very toned. Before my 2nd child was born in 1999 I took a Depo Provera shot that put 30 something pounds on me in a matter of months. During that time, exercise was increased and dieting was very strict, however I could not lose the weight from the shot.

Legs Don't Recover In Time For Next Game

Q: my legs often ache after playing football and i dont seem to be able to recover in time for the next game. i never feel full fresh before a game. what can you suggest?

A: That's a tough one. Some people just need longer time to recover than others. You can do a few things to help it along however.

First off, make sure to minimize physical load on your legs, aside from the usual games and training. Don't do extra weight training for legs or running or whatever other optional exercise you might do. The less the load the faster your muscles will recover.
