Not Hungry Enough To Eat

Q: Hi Mike. I am a 27 year old male at 198lbs and have begun following your advice on fat-loss diets. My daily caloric requirements range from 2097 to 2200 at full rest, 2500 or so with modest activity (which is what I believe I am at) and about 2900 on days I lift weights. I have a unique 'problem'; I am not hungry enough to eat at a 500-700 daily deficit. I can barely consume 1700-1900 calories a day, which I think is related to the fullness factor of eating entirely whole and unprocessed foods.

Types Of Meat To Gain Muscle

Q: what different types of meat can i eat in my diet to gain muscle?

A: All meats and fish and poultry and eggs and milk have top quality protein so eat whatever you like and can afford. Fatty fish like salmon is also unique in having Omega3 fatty acids which are great for you, so you may want to make an effort to eat it at least occasionally. Just remember that many animal meats can be very fatty which is usually undesirable. So stick with leaner choices like 95% or higher lean beef, skinless chicken breast, lean turkey, and fish (fatty fish is fine since it has beneficial fats as I said).

Gym 3 Times A Week, Fartlek, Soccer

Q: Hi mike, could you go through what i'm doing in a week and tell me if its okay. I go to the gym 3 times a week, 1 day training the arms, 1 day training the legs and 1 day training the torso, i do 5 sets of 10 reps each and make sure by the last set, my muscles are tired, and i do fartlek training 2 times a week and play soccer 2 times a week. is this exercise routine okay for me to tone my muscles?
