Training For Slow Twitch Fibers

Q: Hi Mike, I am a 73 year old with a weights Programme which I have been following for about 3 months. Progress with muscle gain is very slow but I do understand why at my age. However, in my youth, I was a runner and had a marathon time of just under 3 and a quarter hours BUT I couldnt do a 10K in less than 40 minutes. I am told this is because I have a preponderance of slow twitch fibres.

Do 20 Pullups

Q: MIKE! i'm trying to train my pull ups, currently i'm doing pull ups everyday and normally i can only do 4 proper pull ups till failure for the first set, for the other 4 sets i'd probably be able to do 1 or 2 till failure maybe for the last set i can't even pull up, i'm aiming to do 20 pullups by the next two months, is this possible?

Q: Hi mike, i'm the guy from question 3122, for the arms, i do a total of 6 exercises, for the torso i do a total of 8 and for the legs a total of 4, each exercise doing 5 sets of 10 reps each.
