How Important Is Strict Diet

A: Thank you for maintaining such a great site. It's nice to see everything laid out so clearly, especially all the diet and regimen tools you've put together!

Tae Bo Cardio

Q: What do you think about tae-bo and weight lifting in one week. I want to burn fat on my belly.

A: Tae Bo is a great cardio program and you can certainly do it in parallel with whole-body weight training. Just make sure you don't ignore your diet -- if you don't eat right your results will likely be disappointing, regardless of how good your exercise program is. Make sure to read my http://www.mikesfitness.com/content/nutrition and http://www.mikesfitness.com/content/weight-training articles to put together a good diet and weight training plan to go along with Tae Bo.

Low Calorie Diet And Still Gaining Weight

Q: My husband has been really discouraged because he has been trying to lose weight for almost a year now. In the winter he began training for a marathon and finally started to lose some, but then got injured at work and couldn't walk (other than with crutches) for three months. He has still been dieting and has tried everything. He has cut his calories down to 1600 hundred a day, roughly and is gaining weight. He wad been steady at 195 for the past year or so and is now at 215. He is about to give up, if something doesn't work. Allof his weight is in his belly.

Burning Fat And Building Muscle For a 21 Year Old Guy

Q: Hello Mike.
Just been looking at your website its quite helpful.
I was hoping for some advice, as i am fairly new to all this gym business!
I have been going to a small private gym now for about 6-8 weeks with the hope of burning fat and gaining muscle.
I am 21 years old of average build and weigh in at about 13 stone and i am generally fit and healthy.
I have yet to see any difference except for my arms getting slightly bigger but not a lot bigger at that.
I tend to attend 3 times a week for around a hour at a time.
