Lose Belly Fat After The Bulk

Q: Mike i have a question. After the bulk up what must i do in order to lose some of the last bit of belly i have?I have made bulk up for 8 months now and i have gained 9 kgs(mostly muscles).Iam lean overall with some muscles and i have pretty good shape but i just wanna lose some fat from my stomach.I have 12.5 % body fat percentage. What should i do in order to lose it?I talk about the cutting face after some bulk up.I have heard many approaches and i am really confussed about it.Till now the last 2 weeks i dropped my daily calories to -300 each day so my body will be used to it.I keep my protein intake high and i reduce carbs and fats.I have heard that is better to reduce the calories near the sleep time,is it correct and y?Also,is it ok to do some cardio ?If yes how much time and how many times a week?Should i change anything else?Iam talking about losing some fat after the bulk in order to make my belly look better. Please if u can tell me what i should do exactly in weight training, cardio and nutrition in order to lose some fat slowly and safely.I know u ll say i cant spot reduce but i have little fat on me and its mainly only around stomach area so if i lose some now i suppose it will go from there.

A: Basically you're doing what you need to be doing already. Your weight training need not change at all, assuming you already do intense whole-body training. You should do some cardio -- I especially recommend HIIT, but regular cardio for up to 2 hours/week (split over several sessions) at brisk pace is OK too. The biggest changes should come in your diet, mainly in lowering carbs. A good way to accomplish that is to not eat starchy carbs for any meals other than breakfast, pre-workout meal, and optionally post-workout meal -- at other meals only have light veggies or some legumes for carbs. Fill out fitness guide specifying 'Lose Fat' and it'll give you a suggested diet program which you can then tweak to your tastes. Try to lose weight no faster than 2 kilos per month and really the slower the better -- this ensures you lose fat and not muscle. Good luck!
