Soy Protein And B-2 Vitamins
Q: Is it ok to take Isolate Soy Protein 95 (from GNC)? Also, is it ok to take B-2 100 vitamins?
A: Both of those products should be OK. Do you have a specific reason why you want to buy Soy protein powder? In general, whey powder is probably a more useful choice. Read my Protein Supps article if you haven't already. I'm also not a huge fan of the mega-doses of Riboflavin (vit B2) found in most B-2 100 pills, but it's more of a personal choice. I honestly don't have any hard data for why I feel that way, but I just prefer to not overload my system with anything unnecessarily. Vitamin B complex is water-soluble however and your body should eliminate the excess. And Riboflavin is actually not that easy to get from regular foods (mushrooms, spinach, animal livers and kidneys are some of the best sources for it, other than pills). So if you like it, go for it.
