Take Creatine With 10 Pounds To Lose
Q: Hi mike,of all the sites i've visited,this one's the best because of its simplicity,anyways my question is i got some 10 pounds to lose to get to my ideal weight and my fat % is 21 :((( i am taking whey regularly but i am thinking of getting creatine too,should i wait till i get my fat % down to ideal or go for creatine??
A: Thanks, glad you like the site! Creatine is really not a necessary supplement for somebody like you. All creatine accomplishes is gives you a little bit of extra strength which has basically negligible effect on weight loss. In addition creatine usually leads to extra water retention and can leave you bloated which is not what you want to see or feel like when trying to lose fat. So my advice is to skip creatine for now. You may find it more useful if and when you reach your goal body fat level and decide to bulk up and add muscle mass. But for now, focus on your everyday 'regular foods' diet.
