Ways To Stop Late Night Hunger
Q: what are some ways to stop late night hunger
A: If you follow a well-planned diet, your meals should span the whole day, from the moment you wake up to right before you go to bed. A good pre-bed meal will have a source of protein like chicken or fish, a source of healthy fats like olive oil, and a lot of non-starchy veggies (salad, broccoli, green beans, etc.). So in this case you'd never go hungry late at night because you will have a planned meal for that time.
If you wake up at 3am feeling hungry, I can't help you too much with that. If you work out with heavy weights, insomnia really shouldn't be a problem. First thing to try is to go back to sleep. If you simple MUST eat something in the middle of the night, you could potentially make a protein shake (some people actually wake up on purpose in the middle of the night to chug a shake, though I certainly don't think it's necessary) or eat a piece of fruit. Just have a plan of some small healthy snack that will keep you from reaching for junk food.
